  1. FO: PSC2011 August Tropical Tingle

    September 12, 2011 by sunrisesister

I have to confess, I lost momentum for this in August, and fell behind. But here we are, back up to date!

    Rainbow socks for a boy.

Yes, these are kids socks, and they are going to my friends son, who requested some loud socks. But what I *did* finally tackle is 2 socks on one circular needle! And guess what! The world didnt implode!

It was surprisingly fast – magic loop is so much quicker, and working two socks at a time means no Second Sock Syndrome! I will be doing this from now on.

    Pattern: Tadpoles (yes, again)

    Needle: 2.75mm

  3. PSC2011 April: Magic Socks

    May 1, 2011 by sunrisesister

April was a bit of a write-off for my Personal Sock Club.. a mix of badly-timed hand surgery and some yarn that just wasnt working for me meant that I changed tack. My Crazy Zauberball was splitty as hell, so it has gone off to live with another knitting friend who is swapping with me for something more suitable for the triangular augustine shawl!

So, I spent my recovery time designing a baby sock! Purely by accident, mind.

The pattern is being made pretty by the amazing Anne at Ink and Tea, and will be available for purchase very soon! It’s a pattern for baby/toddler socks, made by magic loop on one circular needle.

And this month’s lucky dip is…….

    CRAZY ZAUBERBALL!!!!!!

But I am a little socked out, so this will be something a little different.. something that will show off the CRAZINESS! An Augustine Shawlette.. a triangular karius shaped clapotis redux. Win.

It’s been a week of quick n dirty FO’s.. here is another one I whipped up to go as a gift..

A hyperbolic scrubbie in Anchor Magicline. I love these.. they are quick, look like some kind of weird coral brain, and are great for the bath/shower, or in a scratchy acrylic, as a pot scrubber. This will be going to someone interstate..
