  3. Recovering

    April 15, 2011 by sunrisesister

Well, the good news is: the arm/hand is recovering very well! Much smaller and neater scars this time, and the stitches are staying put for a changes. The cast came off on Monday, and I have been able to do lots of things – cooking cleaning driving and washing.

And a teensy bit of knitting.

Yes, already. Pretty amazing huh? Nothing extreme, but purely by accident, I designed a sock pattern! I am typing it up now, and will be taking lots of photos to go with it. Stay tuned.

Meanwhile, I have finally popped my Melbourne Comedy Festival cherry! I went to see Arj Barker on wednesday with friends, and can’t wait to go see Gabriel Iglesias this sunday night with N!

I had better go bust out the camera for some pattern photos!

    CRAZY ZAUBERBALL!!!!!!

But I am a little socked out, so this will be something a little different.. something that will show off the CRAZINESS! An Augustine Shawlette.. a triangular karius shaped clapotis redux. Win.

It’s been a week of quick n dirty FO’s.. here is another one I whipped up to go as a gift..

A hyperbolic scrubbie in Anchor Magicline. I love these.. they are quick, look like some kind of weird coral brain, and are great for the bath/shower, or in a scratchy acrylic, as a pot scrubber. This will be going to someone interstate..

    Fuschia

Today N and I drove to a few different wedding venues and parks to look for somewhere to hold our wedding later this year. Some of them were a little trecherous because of steep hills etc, but after a couple of hours, we found The One :)

It’s truly stunning, and after some sustinence, and baby’s nap, we went back for a better look.

The wedding diet is going great, why do you ask?

Autumn is also a beautiful time in our own garden. Figs are ripening, maple trees are turning a thousand shades of red and yellow, and these beautiful little flowers greet us near the front door.

    I grow pretty stuff.

Autumn really is my favourite season in Melbourne!
