It’s been a funny ole week. A pretty difficult one, for many reasons, but at the same time, an amazing reminder at how friends have the power to make everything feel managable, bearable, and remind you that there ARE solutions to big problems. Like cake.
So last night was extra special, and we gathered for a blessingway. My first ever, and in fact, most of us were newbies at it. But my friend Shan had it all planned and organised – what a legend! We did Henna tattoos, made a necklace with beads from friends near and afar. We made a red cotton ‘spider web’ and wove the rest around our wrists to wear until baby is on it’s way.
And of course we had FUN 
Even W and M joined in (E was away at camp, sadly)

Amazing beads.. and so many Everyone brought/sent beads and the necklace is still being added to as we go! It’s heavy, though

And of course, as always happens when us ladies get together, there was much laughter, rudeness, eating, and tea drinking! And a very cute baby to cuddle..
Also, drying henna paste looks like REAL meconuim. This entertained us to no end
