  3. FO's: Meret, Woolly Shorts

    July 30, 2009 by sunrisesister

Well it’s been quiet on the blogging front, but there has been knitting. With the new addition of My New Chair, the whole lounge room was rearranged, and my very own craft corner was born. Oh yes. Bad pic:

And so I started knitting Meo’s Mitts FINALLY:

But then came down with a cold/flu thing. That’s what you get from Dr’s waiting rooms, folks! Luckily it didnt last long, and I got to finishing these:

Cute as a boot! Pattern from inside Meagan’s head, so I hope I interpreted them correctly!

I also made something I have been pondering for a long time. And for a lacy hat, it only took 3 hours! God bless 10ply:

Red Meret, BWM Luxury 10ply in Ruby. It’s blocking now with the aid of a plate and tupperware bowl.

So it’s been a quiet-ish week, not much to report. Lots of sickness, Dr’s appointments, and general errands.

  5. WIP: Woolly Shorts

    July 23, 2009 by sunrisesister

    Globe Multicolour 18984662 IMG_3593

This is a pair of basic wool baby shorts, to be lanolised and used as a soaker. The yarn is Globe, the stuff I bought at the wool village a couple of weeks ago. It’s surprisingly great yarn! Nice stitch definition, great colours, and quite a robust texture. It has a touch of nylon in it, maybe that helps. Yardage is awful, though, at 90m a ball HAHA!

Pattern is coming from Meagan’s brain :) She gave me a pair that she made for her son, and I LOVE the pattern!
