  1. FO: Blackberry Cowl 1

    April 28, 2009 by sunrisesister

I saw 1, because I can already tell this is going to be a pattern I make over and over again!

This is to go with my big button hat, which went northwards to a friend in NSW. She requested a matching scarf, and I had enough for this..

Not a great photo, i was pushed for time. I cant wait till it’s dry! Buttons will go on, and it will head north to be loved and worn lovingly I’m sure.

I also finally got to blocking Maya’s Raglan jumper. The pattern is going to be perfected and posted up here very soon for download!

My other half is loving his Alpaca neckwarmer in this chilly Melbourne weather! Stay warm, everyone!

Lots happening here, and really busy. Stay tuned!

  2. All Wound Up

    April 25, 2009 by sunrisesister

Yesterday was a home day, cool, chilly, and some beautiful Autumn rain. So I sat down and wound some yarn. A lot.. of yarn.

I am thrilled to report that the yummy looking skeins are even MORE impressive in the ball. The next test is, how they look knitted up!

  4. Moo Cards

    April 24, 2009 by sunrisesister

After seeing a friend’s gorgeous Moo cards a few weeks ago, I decided to pull my finger out and order some. This is done directly thru Flickr, and I made one of each, so there are no duplicates!

They are fantastic. If you are on Flickr, there are links to Moo on the front page. If you aren’t, try www.moo.com

Well, actually twice this week! One from the Fibre Club over at Ewe Give Me The Knits, but in the spirit of the game, I wont post pics *yet* so others dont have the surprise spoiled for them.

The other one just arrived, and whoah was I happy to see the big beautiful bulging bag waiting for me on my doorstep! My Bendigo Woolen Mills order!

The colours arent exact, thanks to Environmentally Friendly Lighting, and Melbourne’s beautiful autumn weather today. I am not complaining, I am loving this rain.

The new Luxury 10 ply is *so* gorgeous. Better than any other aran i have come accross so far. The 4 rustic colours are for a vest for DP – the Alberta Pattern by Brooklyn Tweed.

The ruby is for a cardigan for me, perhaps the February Lady Sweater, if I am feeling adventurous. And lots left for accessories and hats etc. The black is for a shrug, cardi for Edlest, and berets, and the autumn glow for gloves for a gift. The Lake was a total impulse buy. How could I not?
