  1. Socks

    March 30, 2009 by sunrisesister

I finally cast on a pair of socks for Neil, out of the beautiful new Patonyle yarn that I bought from the craft show a couple of weeks back.

    two tone patonyle socks

I *was* making him a beanie, but the yarn sucked, and I made too many mistakes for a cable pattern. So this is my Instead Project. They will have red cuffs, heels, and toes.

With equally as impressive ninja-like skillz, Shosh evaded TWO loud and nosey dogs to deliver my RED fave colour swap parcel!!! And boy did I get seriously spoilt :)

  3. It Blocks

    March 29, 2009 by sunrisesister

Finally, this cardi is knitted, crocheted, edged, and finished. All it needs is to block, have the ends sewn in, and the buttons added. It’s not nearly as hideous as I thought it would be.. even if Viv disagrees!

We are having a day at home, pottering about after a late night home yesterday. We went up to Meagan’s place in Healesville to help celebrate her hubby’s almost-40th birthday, and to meet some new faces. The Healesville-Kinglake road was just freaky though – trees along the side of the road burnt to a char by the fires, and the hill opposite Meagan’s is a patchwork of burnt forest. But it was good to see roos bouncing around, cows grazing, and green returning to the land :)

  4. Carnivale!

This fibre is so colourful, and was so much fun to spin! Probably enough for a baby hat or booties.. so NICE of everyone to keep having babies for me to knit for! :)
